Essential Functions:
:Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
:Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
:Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
:Implements, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs.
:Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
:Advises dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques.
:Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales.
:Directs product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line.
:Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
:Delivers sales presentations to key clients.
:Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units.
:Analyzes expenditures of the division to conform to budgetary requirements.
:Assists other departments within the organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
:Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
:Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
:Recommends or approves budgets, expenditures, and appropriations for research and development work.
:Responsible for the supervision, training and support of international dealers and representatives of Blendtec.
:Responsible for identifying and recruiting dealers and representatives for the parts of the territory not currently covered.
:Responsible for the evaluation and motivation of all international dealers and representatives.
:Responsible for meeting channel sales goals and objectives.
:Maintaining and improving gross margin and reducing the cost of sales.
:Frequent domestic travel required.
:Extensive International travel.
:Passport required.
Education/ Experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent education and/or experience combined
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
:Fluent in language of area.
:Must have strong relationship building skills.
:Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations to current and potential clients, supervisors, internal customers and top management.
:Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the business community.
:Must be able to order thoughts and ideas into a cohesive, articulate and concise presentation, either verbal or written.
:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information and legal documents.
:Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from others.
:Can solve practical problems that deal with simple to complex situations.
:Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
:Must demonstrate cooperative behavior towards co:workers, supervisors, and customers at all times.
