Job Description

Cedar Ridge, Inc Mission Statement

Through modeling and teaching, we guide youth in a process of positive behavioral change as they acquire the skills and self-knowledge they need to form healthy relationships with others and utilize their individual inner strengths to become mature, well-balanced, productive persons.

We are a residential treatment center licensed by the State of Utah. We work with clients aged 12-17 years from across the United States and occasionally globally.


Therapists perform individual and family therapy sessions.
Attend weekly treatment team meetings.
Facilitate groups (DBT, Experiential, Big Group, Home Process Groups).
The therapists maintain client files and complete client paperwork.
Provide/elicit feedback to/from staff regarding client progress.
Therapists consult with home managers to elicit feedback on each client.
Provide necessary documentation to insurance and other interested parties according to guidelines as needed.
Consult with Student Service Coordinators regarding student medical, dental, medication management, and parent/guardian interactions.
Therapists adhere to appropriate professional Code of Ethics.
Participate in regular supervision as needed to fulfill licensing requirements.
Therapists are encouraged to actively seek continuing educational opportunities to serve client need.


Minimum of a Masters Degree in mental health counseling. (Will consider an internship)
LMFT, LCSW, LPC, i.e. appropriate State License.
Thorough knowledge of Family Systems Theory.
Working knowledge of computer programs: Word, Excel, Therascribe, or other comparable software.
Ability to become 1st Aid/CPR and PCS certified.
Pass a drug screen and a criminal background check.
