Under the administrative direction of the Nursing Department Chairperson, plans, prepares, and follows an approved course of study with measurable objectives for each course/clinical taught; prepares instructional materials; instructs, manages, and supervises individuals and groups in classrooms, labs, and clinical (hospital) areas; evaluates instruction and learning; maintains and submits accurate student records; advises students as needed; assists department staff in maintaining an effective program; maintains desirable and safe lab and classroom conditions; and, performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Graduation from an accredited program with a bachelors degree in Nursing. Preferred Qualifications A masters in Nursing is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of each course/clinical to be taught. Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques. Knowledge of counseling and advising techniques. Knowledge of current trends in nursing education. Skill in public speaking and report writing. Skill in student management, motivation and evaluation, and recruitment. Interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to communicate well orally and in writing. Pay Range DOQ for salary schedules
